| Incident Summary: | Allegation that West Coast Soccer Club coaches emailed a high school team and advertised West Coast Soccer Club in that email. |
| Comments: | After review the PAD Committee determined that no violation has occurred. As Livermore correctly points out, it is a violation of the NorCal Code of Ethics for a high school coach to recruit players from his/ her high school team to a NorCal club or team. However, the communication in question here is not recruiting. Recruiting is asking a player registered to another club to attend a tryout, attend a training session or lay or guest play without permission from the player's current club. Because the communication in question here does not ask this of a player, this is an advertisement and not recruiting. |
